Once again, the time is here when the city of Washington DC is taken over by millions of little pink blossoms. The cherry trees at the DC Tidal Basin are now in full bloom. This year marks the 100th anniversary of receiving 3,000 cherry trees as a gift from Japan. I spent an hour there Monday evening, capturing images with my little point & shoot camera. No fancy accessories or big lenses… just me and a camera the size of a deck of cards. It was a nice challenge for me to see what I could come up with without all of the bulky professional stuff. The next day, I went back with my heavy gear. Can you tell which of these images are from the pocket-sized camera vs. the bulkier SLR? Here are my results… Enjoy!
