This year, I decided to venture towards Washington DC for the annual July 4th fireworks display. It’s been many years since I’ve been anywhere near the national mall at show time. I had a location in mind that would place me just outside the city and across the water from most of the action. The view was amazing! My vantage point allowed me to capture three historic buildings in the same exposure as the fireworks. Seventeen minutes after the show started, I walked away with some great lessons learned and pretty cool images.
